In Greek and Roman times, poets were acknowledged as the recorders, the scribes for the inspiration delivered by their Muse. Creativity was a partnership. Without the Muse, a poet was lost. With the Muse, a poet was creative and transcendent. Which is not a bad idea at all.
Every few years, creativity rises to become the new, new thing. With an old history.
